Move from Newark to Northumberland 6/7th Jan 2026 The 4 guys arrived as arranged at 8am, were very professional and helpful throughout the whole process. We were packed up and ready to go by 11.30 which was fantastic. The following day they were already at the new property by 7.30 and started work immediately. Again they were finished by 11.30 even though there were only 2 of them this time. They even found 2 tiny screws from our bed fitting that had fallen off into the van - saved us a lot of hassle and meant we could spend our first night in our own bed - marvellous. They couldn't have worked harder or been more helpful if they tried. Our move couldn't have gone any better and we would highly recommend your company to anyone. From start to finish, your company made it easy to complete our move and was the least stressful of the buying, selling and moving process. Thank you.

My son used Ballard removals, on the day four men turned up with two Lorries . They worked non stop all day were very polite and nothing was too much trouble . If you’re thinking of moving I would recommend Ballards from the start. Thanks again Guys.

The team moved us last week and can not praise them enough They were professional, polite, friendly and took the stress out of the day. Put everything where we asked - really careful with our furniture- everything arrived safely They worked so hard Thoroughly recommend

Excellent removal firm and I would recommend it without any reservations. The team was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them to carry out. They arrived on time in the morning at 7am and after a look round and a few questions to me got on with the job, 5 hours in all. I was given the opportunity to inspect all rooms and they left as promptly as they arrived. My belongings are going into storage provided by them (very good rate as was the whole cost of the removal) so I won't be seeing them for a few weeks.

Ballards were great. All went well with the move and your lads were a great bunch. Nothing was too much trouble, we could have a laugh (most important during a stressful time for us), and everything done professionally. The full packing service was worth every penny and everything moved with no damage or issues.

The initial visit to inspect and provide a quotation was done efficiently and on time. The price quoted was reasonable and it was very easy to arrange a suitable date to move. On the day, the three men and two vans arrived early and worked really hard despite the heat of the day. Our belongings were well cared for and no damage happened in transit. We had used Ballard's when we moved last time, thirty years ago, and their service still has much to recommend it. Thank you for helping us through a very busy and potentially stressful day.

Brilliant service. Arrived at exactly the agreed time. 3 very polite and hardworking men moved everything and didn't want us to lift a finger. Handled all our belongings with care. Waited patiently whilst the solicitors did their thing. Unpacked everything with care and made sure everything was placed exactly where we wanted it. We have used Ballards twice now and wouldn't hesitate in using them again and recommending them to anyone who needs a removal firm.

We have recently moved home from Northamptonshire to Somerset. Throughout the whole process our experience of Ballards/Steeles of Stamford was excellent at every stage. We were impressed with the documentation prior to choosing a company, impressed with Shane the surveyor and with Lizz and Steve for phone contacts. Most of all though we were delighted with the team assigned to our actual removal. Ash, Josh, Mark and Stuart were all excellent - they were highly professional, personable, hard working and cheery throughout. They made an inevitably stressful situation far less so and we are extremely grateful. We would whole heartedly recommend this company

Ballards were very professional from start to finish.on the day of our moving 3 men came into our home covered the floor,carefully packed the lorry, providing portable wardrobes, and took down beds and wardrobes. Our exchange and completion were delayed, so they had some delay, but were excellent on arrival at new home, putting back beds and wardrobes with same care, boxes in rooms as stated.cant praise these men enough, we are elderly and wouldn’t have been able to do much of it ourselves. Thank you and if there were 10 stars you’d get them.

This is the second time I have used Ballards, first time was 12 years ago and then again on the 5th Feb 2026. As before the two guys that came and packed me up and moved me were absolutely fantastic, because I’ve moved into a flat due to downsizing I needed my fridge freezer doors to open the opposite way and as I’m now a single lady and nearly 50 they did it for me which isn’t their job but as always they do go above and beyond. I didn’t even bother shopping around getting quotes as with Ballards you do get what you pay for and as last time there were not one item damaged or broken, I’m not planning on moving anymore but if I do Ballards will be the company that I use. Massive thanks Ballards.
