We used Ballards this week. The team communicated right up to moving date and the movers were amazing. Really polite and quick! It’s the second time we’ve used them and would definitely recommend!

We have recently moved home from Northamptonshire to Somerset. Throughout the whole process our experience of Ballards/Steeles of Stamford was excellent at every stage. We were impressed with the documentation prior to choosing a company, impressed with Shane the surveyor and with Lizz and Steve for phone contacts. Most of all though we were delighted with the team assigned to our actual removal. Ash, Josh, Mark and Stuart were all excellent - they were highly professional, personable, hard working and cheery throughout. They made an inevitably stressful situation far less so and we are extremely grateful. We would whole heartedly recommend this company

Ballards were a godsend on the day of my move. They were friendly, efficient and super quick, both for loading furniture out of the property i was selling and into the property I'd bought. Couldn't fault them at all and would recommend them to everyone!

The day of packing, Ballards arrive early. There was just one person doing the packing which quite surprised me, but she did an absolutely brilliant job and was finished by 12. The next morning 2 vans arrived with 2 men to load everything up. There was an issue getting my beds out, but the team persevered and got the job done. Everything was loaded and ready to go by 11am. The vans were driving up north straight away but meeting me at my new bungalow at 8:30. I was asked where I wanted each piece of furniture and it was put exactly where I wanted it. Both vans were unloaded by around 11:30.

This is the second time I have used Ballards, first time was 12 years ago and then again on the 5th Feb 2026. As before the two guys that came and packed me up and moved me were absolutely fantastic, because I’ve moved into a flat due to downsizing I needed my fridge freezer doors to open the opposite way and as I’m now a single lady and nearly 50 they did it for me which isn’t their job but as always they do go above and beyond. I didn’t even bother shopping around getting quotes as with Ballards you do get what you pay for and as last time there were not one item damaged or broken, I’m not planning on moving anymore but if I do Ballards will be the company that I use. Massive thanks Ballards.

Informed through the whole process of the pre enquiry to the house visit and the great 2 lads loading All went like clock work Thank you Then came the storage and delivery back out to my new address. Again a great service from the arrangements for the delivery to my new property, then the delivery itself Great Job done by all. Nothing broken either ???

Excellent service from start when Steve came to give us a quote and throughout a very stressful period, right up to the move. Steve was calm and helpful and then Nick and Dave who did the move were exceptional and everything arrived from Yorkshire to Essex without one breakage. Well done Ballards. The initial visit to inspect and provide a quotation was done efficiently and on time. The price quoted was reasonable and it was very easy to arrange a suitable date to move. On the day, the three men and two vans arrived early and worked really hard despite the heat of the day. Our belongings were well cared for and no damage happened in transit. We had used Ballard's when we moved last time, thirty years ago, and their service still has much to recommend it. Thank you for helping us through a very busy and potentially stressful day.

Given the heat on the days we packed/moved they were fantastic and no request was too much. The office team were also great with handling anything booking related. Definitely recommend.

From dealing with Steve (Lunt) prior to move day, to the great team who attended to do the job, Ballards was absolutely fantastic. The guys worked so hard with some very heavy items and nothing seemed too much trouble, with them ensuring our minds were fully at ease.
