An excellent team that packed up the house contents, arrived the next day at the promised time and took great care of our possessions. Nothing was too much trouble and on arrival at our new home did they did everything they could to make the moving experience as stress free as it could be.

We got a few Quotes and Ballards was a good price (which was for 3 removers but 4 arrived, so that was a bonus). The removal men turned up punctually at 8am and were polite and helpful. The vans were loaded in about 3 1/2 hours and unloaded at the other end by roughly 3.30pm. Overall the experience was a good one but, in the spirit of a honest review, a few items of furniture were scratched (dining table and headboard) or damaged (metal leg knocked off small table and new front door scratched) during the move. So, maybe the guys could have been a little more gentle. That said, this is is our 11th move and invariably things do (but shouldn't) get marked or damaged. We have used them in the past and we would use them again (not that we are planning anything in the near future)!

We recently used Ballards on a big move from Nottinghamshire up to Dent, Cumbria. From the initial call with Steve, the video evaluation of all our stuff to the answering my multiple random questions over WhatsApp Steve was there. On the big day Rowan & Stuart arrived a bit early, introduced themselves and reassured us that there would not be any problem fitting our furniture on to the removal lorry. They were both extremely careful to protect the carpets and our walls as they were moving things out and the loading up was like a complicated jigsaw, very careful and secure. Day 2 to finish off went by in a flash and they were quickly heading north to our new home. The driveway and access to the house is very steep and a man made narrow track but this wasn't a problem for the Luton van they had brought along to decant from the big lorry which they had to park up several miles away. It was roasting hot but the team of 4 which now included Jake and Pete worked tirelessly to get our furniture into place as quickly as possible. In fact they all got up at 5am to enable them to arrive with the first Luton load by 6am. It was a really great experience and I have no hesitation in recommending them or using them again in the future. Thanks a million to you all for making this part of the process pretty stress free and comfortable.

The whole process from quote request, to booking, collection and delivery was smooth and easy. All the staff were polite, friendly and professional and took great care of us and our belongings from start to finish. I have used Ballards on a few occasions when moving and they have always been great. This move was no exception, the team were organised, helpful and carried out the job with a real level of care. Given the heat on the days we packed/moved they were fantastic and no request was too much. The office team were also great with handling anything booking related. Definitely recommend.

The person was dressed smartly, polite and thorough with the questioning to give an accurate quotation that was very reasonable. The removal people on the day were on time polite and respectful of us and our furniture. They took their time in wrapping and loading to make sure everything was safe and secure. When at the new property to offload some more of Ballard's staff came to help to make sure the job was done efficiently. They were brilliant and didn't leave until we were happy with everything being in the correct room. I would highly recommend them and will certainly be using them again in the future. The day we moved it was torrential rain, the guys were in great spirits despite getting drenched. The boxes and furniture stayed dry and secure. When we got the keys it was fast and seamless to get the van unloaded. We would highly recommend.

3 friendly men moved us out house to another one 3hrs away, were speedy and efficient. Protected items that could get damaged.

The day of packing, Ballards arrive early. There was just one person doing the packing which quite surprised me, but she did an absolutely brilliant job and was finished by 12. The next morning 2 vans arrived with 2 men to load everything up. There was an issue getting my beds out, but the team persevered and got the job done. Everything was loaded and ready to go by 11am. The vans were driving up north straight away but meeting me at my new bungalow at 8:30. I was asked where I wanted each piece of furniture and it was put exactly where I wanted it. Both vans were unloaded by around 11:30.

The staff are extremely professional, helpful and made the whole process easy and stress free.Ballards were able to accommodate our move with less than a weeks notice after we'd had a bit of nightmare with solicitors. We were able to buy boxes and packing materials from them and thought the quote we were given was very reusable and we would 100% be happy to pay again if we ever move in the future. On the day Brad & Brad arrived 10 mins early and were friendly, informative and worked quickly yet very carefully removing all our furniture. We felt at ease during the process & we had some time after everything was packed to deep clean the house. We met them at our new home after we had got the keys and it only took just over an hour for everything to be moved back in to the house as 2 others came to help who again were friendly and could not have been more helpful. The whole house moving process is very stressful in general but Ballards made it nothing but easy. As before the two guys that came and packed me up and moved me were absolutely fantastic, because I’ve moved into a flat due to downsizing I needed my fridge freezer doors to open the opposite way and as I’m now a single lady and nearly 50 they did it for me which isn’t their job but as always they do go above and beyond. I didn’t even bother shopping around getting quotes as with Ballards you do get what you pay for and as last time there were not one item damaged or broken, I’m not planning on moving anymore but if I do Ballards will be the company that I use. Massive thanks Ballards.
