Sheffield back in the Premier League

News

We do a lot of removals work in and around Sheffield and some of our team members come from the area, so we’d like to mark the recent promotion of Sheffield United – back in the Premier league after 6 years.

This is a great boost for Sheffield and will bring £millions into the local economy. In 2017/18 the English premiership clubs’ combined revenue was £4.8bn, so a share of that will be coming Sheffield’s way next season.

What else is happening in Sheffield?

We think Sheffield is definitely on the up and is a great place to live.

Once best known for steel, Sheffield is now increasingly known for its arts and culture – and snooker of course, with the world famous Crucible theatre. Some of the places we like to visit include the Millennium Gallery and the next-door Winter Garden. We also love South Street Park (Sheaf Valley Park) and wanted to give a shout out to the Wuthering Heights Day coming up on 14th July. If you’re a Kate Bush fan, this is something not to miss, find out more here. Sheffield is also well known for its real ale, beautiful cathedral and of course shopping at Meadowhall.

There’s also been significant investment in Sheffield Hallam University, the 6th largest in the UK with over 31,500 students, and ongoing work to build business links with China, which will bring further activity to Sheffield.

House moves in Sheffield

Despite the current political uncertainties, we are seeing a lot of people moving into and around Sheffield, and according to a
recent article in the Yorkshire Post, the S7 area of Sheffield is one of the most buoyant property markets in the UK at the moment. Our customers have also reported a lot of activity in the S10 area with large numbers of potential buyers for available properties there.

Here’s an example of a recent Sheffield removals customer review:

“The team were superb - very considerate, very polite, very careful, very conscientious. They all had a smile on their face - always. This was a very challenging move as it was up 32 steps. There is no lift. We were very impressed by how they all responded. There was no grumble. They are all a credit to your company. We are very grateful for the service that they and you - provided for us. Thank you.”
