This one was meant to be simple. A straightforward one-day house move from Newark to Collingham. Everything packed, loaded and ready for keys to be handed over later that afternoon.
But by 5pm, the funds still hadn’t come through.

When moving day throws a curveball
Completion delays are more common than people realise, but that doesn’t make them any less stressful when you’re standing there with a fully loaded lorry and nowhere to go.
With the Newark property cleared and the Collingham home not yet legally theirs, we needed to act quickly and calmly.

Instead of leaving the client worrying about their belongings, we reassured them that everything would be taken care of.
We transported all goods back to our secure depot, stored them safely overnight, and stayed in touch while completion was finalised. The following afternoon, once the keys were officially released, we delivered everything into their new Collingham home without delay.

In the end, the move from Newark to Collingham was completed safely – just a day later than planned. And most importantly, the client knew their belongings had been protected the whole time.
