Outklass Fitness of East Drayton near Retford in Nottinghamshire held a charity fun day, part of which was to replicate one of their members, Ronnie Staton’s, efforts to cover 100 miles for charity. Everyone who went was invited to run, walk or amble a lap until 100 miles were covered as well as taking part in the various events, visiting the marquees, bidding at the grand auction or enjoying the delicious barbeque. The charity being supported by Ronnie and the Outklass family fun day was Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
It was a great day attended by Outklass members, friends, family and others who just wanted a fantastic day out. Ballards Removals supported the event by donating their trucks and time helping in a worthy cause. The truck pull tested the resolve of the participants and certainly showed the worth of the Outklass training regime. Among the many amusements was a “guess the number of jellybeans” completion which was won by Mrs Janette Ballard and she finished up 1,403 jelly beans the richer! As Ronnie is planning another expedition she donated the jelly beans to him to keep his energy levels up.
Ballards were happy to support an event for such a worthwhile cause and the whole day raised £8,254, an amount which was a credit to all who attended. We wish Ronnie, who was the inspiration for the fun day, success in his future fundraising activities.
